Covid-19: Prevention and Precautions
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to be hard on all of us in various ways. We recognize the impact the virus has had on our friends, families and community as a whole. Throughout the pandemic we have worked to ensure we incorporate safe practices to lower the potential for spread throughout the community through taking special precautions in our store, with all employees and in ensuring safety of all who enter our store.
We have incorporated several precautions to assist in lowering transmission of the virus and ensure tracing of any potential spread of the virus. Our staff have assisted us in incorporating the following precautions to assist in keeping all staff and visitors safe from the virus:
- Store front security for tracing
- Mandatory masks to be worn inside and near the store at all times
- A limit of 4 customers at a time
- Social distancing throughout aisles and when in line for check-out
- Curb-side pick up is available
- Enhanced intensive daily cleaning
When Chemawawin Cree Nation and Easterville enter a state of local Code Red there are several changes that occur at the store. The following changes occur during periods of Code Red:
- Daily business hours change to 10:00am to 6:00pm
- Grocery delivery is available through the Health Authority
- The store may temporarily close its doors to the public and only offer curb-side pick up dependant on the local active case numbers.
How does Curb-Side Pick up work?
Curb-Side pick up is straight forward and easy! Here are the steps to follow when placing your order:
- We have posted photos of all available store items to our social media and SHOP page of this website! Check out our social media or SHOP page to review all available items. The items are shown in the photos. Click through all posts to view the selection of items available.
- Write down your order on a piece of paper or a note in your phone. Please ensure you write down the exact brand and flavor you are wanting to purchase of each item. Example: Blueberry Granola Bars – Nutrigrain or Zesty Cheddar Chips – Ariba
- Call the store at (204)329-2422
- Ask to make a Curb-Side Pick Up order
- Slowly tell us all items you wish to order. Please include the flavor and exact brand with every item so we choose the right items for your order.
If I am in Isolation, Can Someone Deliver my Groceries?
Yes! Grocery Delivery is available through the Nursing Station and Health Authority. We ask that you only reach out for delivery services if your family or friends are unable to deliver groceries to you.
